About the artist
Jack Clayton is an illustrator / printmaker from London who specialises in the medium of woodcut printmaking. He relief prints his blocks by hand and often uses the reduction method to add multiple layers of colour from a single block of wood.
In 2010 he left the UK and spent 2 years travelling and working around Australia before venturing over to South East Asia and finally residing in Ho Chi Minh City. He has been creating art inspired by this new environment, hosting workshops and exhibitions ever since.

About the Artist
Jack Clayton is a London-born illustrator and woodcut printmaker who has called Ho Chi Minh City home since 2012. Recognised with the Best in Printmaking Art award at the Vietnam Creative Awards 2026, his work spans reduction woodcut prints and detailed pen-and-ink illustration — capturing Vietnam from the inside out, its street food culture, layered history and everyday moments most visitors never stop to notice. Every print is relief printed by hand, often using the reduction method paired with hand-painted watercolour, pulling multiple layers from a single block of wood.
Over more than a decade his work has found its way into private collections worldwide and onto the walls of people wanting to take a piece of Vietnam home. His gallery studio in Khánh Hội is open Thursday to Sunday, 12pm–6pm — visitors are welcome to browse, watch him work and buy directly from the source.
Worldwide shipping is available on all works. To enquire or purchase, visit the online shop or get in touch directly.
